The evolution of the identity of the brand, headed by Creative Director Massimo Castagna, shown this year at Salone del Mobile, is oriented towards the research of materials and uniqueness of creations, recoiling from the mere function of furniture, transforming into the manifesto of a cognitive and experimental path dedicated to craftsmanship Henge introduces its new furniture and accessory collection in the Atelier of Via della Spiga. At the entrance, Scultoreo dining table with super silver 180 cm glass top and titanium base welcomes visitors next to the geometric shapes of the black hand burnished steel Tangram bookcase and black burnished brass structure. The bar area displays the new Nubuck 28 leather Lailand sofa, featuring leather backrest and pillows offered in the new fabrics and the titanium Twistable coffee tables with bronze base, and the Ozone L; the black copper bar with backlit white crystal quartz. Right behind the bar, the Cage Winery, a new black burnished iron version of the Cage B, is presented with marsh oak shelves and polished copper finish with compartments designed to contain wine bottles. H Silver Wall Clips lamps illuminate the space. The living space features the new sense 18 leather Opus sofa with 18 pillows in the new fabrics paired with the new platinum and Ostuni’s textured stone Primitive new coffee tables, Twistable console with titanium top and bronze base, and two fabric and leather poufs Jelly. On the side, the Bistrot S bookcase in the new platinum finish, the Madia Side X Evo High in the new Patina finish and cappuccino stone top and the bookshelf/TV Loom Program in the new Patina finish, dark burnished brass containers and black burnished iron frame. The new Starlight lamps illuminate the space with a lighting architecture presented as a horizontal composition comprising of two “Y” shaped arms with black burnished brass or bronze sandcasting finish. At the center of the dining area is the Saetta table with Black Lake stone rectangular top and bronze sandcasted legs. The new grey walnut Savannah chairs with leather seats, designed by Irish architect Stephen Tierney and the leather upholstered Extra chairs surround the table, which is surmounted by the dramatic Starlight lamp featuring “Y” shaped arms. The new pieces presented by Henge include Loom FR, the freestanding evolution of the successful wall version: wide full-height opening, hand-burnished brass with smoked glass door, available in three versions with shelving, drawer or flap. Suspended dark burnished brass cylindrical Oops spotlights complete the setting. The TV area showcases the Style Set bookshelf in the new platinum finish and black eucalyptus with the new TV panel; the generous Human sofa in suede 36 and new fabrics; the Galaxi XXL – multi-level composition of black burnished brass organic shapes in different sizes – and polished copper Wall Clips. For the occasions, Henge also presents the exclusive preview of an art de la table collection created by jewelry designer Ugo Cacciatori for the brand. Among the pieces decorating the table, a set of silver flatware with stone handles and brass finish; plates with metal surface, porcelain interior and brass edge; interlocking stone underplates; prism shaped resin bowls with metallic inner walls; antique glass glasses with resin stem; pitcher and decanter with metal and glass details. Completing the 2018 collection, the exclusive Mushroom coffee tables, designed by Yabu Pushelberg, in the new platinum finishing obtained through the artisanal sand casting process.
