Henge Londra

Paolo Tormena guest on Business24, Sky TV

Henge CEO Paolo Tormena was one of the latest guests on Pole Position, a Business24 broadcast hosted by Denny Mendez. During the interview, the CEO described Henge’s origin, from the very beginning until now.

The story of a young company that combines material research with design: a unique trait in the world of design. A humble beginning that quickly took Henge to be recognized as a top brand in the world of interior design.

Grand Opening, Spiga 34

A truly heartfelt thank you to everyone who celebrated such an important moment with us. The opening of the new Spiga 34 showroom, our new home, represents a fundamental step in our journey and a bold choice stating our will to stay and believe in Milan.
In the beating heart of the city – within the fashion design district of the Milanese luxury, in Via della Spiga 34 – a prestigious showroom of more than 750 square meters opened its doors presenting a new, superb collection, sprung from the inspiration of Massimo Castagna, designers Ugo Cacciatori and Isabella Genovese, with the collaboration of the famous designer duo Yabu Pushelberg.
We could only celebrate all of this with a unique party, where our special guests Kruder & Dorfmeister made us dance till late to launch a design week we’ll hardly forget.

Milan Design Week

It is with the inauguration of a new Home that Henge promises, on the occasion of this 59th edition of the Salone del Mobile, eagerly awaited appointment with the world of design, to animate the exciting context of an event increasingly engaging and appreciated at an international level. In the pulsating heart of a particularly vibrant Milan, in the luxury fashion design district, in Via della Spiga 34, a prestigious showroom of over 750 square meters will open its doors presenting the superb new collection, conceived with the inspiration of Massimo Castagna, the designers Ugo Cacciatori and Isabella Genovese and the collaboration of the famous designer couple Yabu Pushelberg.
The generous space, arranged over three floors, invites to deepen the identity and creative eclecticism of an Atelier that has made excellence its priority. A sequence of enthralling settings attests to the compelling path of a brand that has always been passionately dedicated to investigating natural reality and uncontaminated corners, exploring the rarest and most valuable materials, intending to enhance their expressive peculiarities, and establishing an emotional dialogue between the product and those who will remain fascinated.

The secret of this journey that leads to the soul of stones and essences derives from an instinctive love for the beauty of an organic universe, capable of continually renewing surprises, provoking amazement with the many prodigious riches that it is holding and unexpectedly reveals. Textures, veins, and characteristics improperly considered defects or imperfections are privileged and exalted by the mastery of the Company’s team, the best of manual and technological know-how. These extraordinary manufacturing skills, which rediscover and apply finishes and treatments no longer used and, as a true laboratory of experimentation, tirelessly seek innovative procedures, forge distinctive pieces of high sartorial execution, able to stimulate the senses and excite, arousing strong empathy. Clean lines and bold geometries, often playing on unexpected contrasts and expressing themselves with the formal language of contemporaneity, respond to a very special refinement, proposing the authenticity of a beauty that will remain unaltered over time.

OFF-ROAD Dakar & Design

Off-Road Dakar & Design, the event created and promoted by Genius People Magazine in collaboration with Henge and L’Ambiente was hosted by L’Ambiente in their stunning showroom in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

The perfect occasion to celebrate the unconventional relationship between journalism, sport, and the excellence of design in an eclectic lab.

The new DesertX was presented live at the event in collaboration with Ducati. Noteworthy was also the awaited intervention of Andrea Ferraresi, head of the style team at Ducati, who lead the creation of this new motorbike.

Guests around the table: with the role of moderator, Paolo Ianieri, journalist and special correspondent of La Gazzetta dello Sport; Henge CEO Paolo Tormena; Edi Orioli, four-time winner of the Paris-Dakar; Franco Picco, winner of the Faraoni rally and 26-time partecipant of the Paris-Dakar; sport photographer and Nikon Brand Ambassador Gigi Soldano and finally Gianpietro Ghedina, mayor of Cortina d’Ampezzo.

A team of chefs delighted the crowd with a variety of delicious tastings, guided by Graziano Prest and Fabio Pompani, who recently returned from their last experience at Casa Italia for the Tokyo 2022 Olympics, and Massimo Alverà, pastry chef and owner of the historical pastry shop “Alverà” in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

The cherry on the cake was the worldwide preview of the Sisma Table by Massimo Castagna. Stay tuned for more details.

Henge Beijing, Domus Tiandi

Henge strengthens its presence in China with the opening of a new space in Beijing, which marks a further expansion of the company’s distribution strategy in Asia, following the openings in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Shanghai. The new location of Domus Tiandi is in the commercial gallery of the Hotel Peninsula, one of the most prestigious buildings of the capital, in the heart of Beijing’s design district. The large exhibition space displays a succession of settings with a contemporary mood with Henge’s best and long date sellers. An elegant and refined project, with a selection of pieces, designed for professionals and fans of the brand.

Milan Design Week

Beauty is a necessity to be shared to satisfy the desire we feel and, at the same time, to cultivate its resurgence. Henge continues along its research path, daily renewing its sublime obsession for contrast, uniqueness, and perfect imperfection.
Super Week is an opportunity to open a dialogue with the protagonists, foretasting the appealing fascination created by the Brand together with the artistic director Massimo Castagna, the contemporary jewelry and lifestyle designer Ugo Cacciatori and the renowned architecture studio, Yabu Pushelberg.

An unstoppable journey that overcomes all physical and geographical boundaries. HENGE pursues materials and their evolution with great instinct, looking for for the rarest and most expressive ones, rooted in different cultures and in the most remote international landscapes, combining woods, stones, metals, glass, leathers, and fabrics discovered in the opposite side of the world.

Massimo Castagna renews some of his iconic pieces from recent collections such as Sofa Downtown in a modular system, a sofa that stands out for the harmonious balance between the simple geometry of the shape and the pleasant sensation of comfort suggested by the softness of its particular goose padding, present both in seats and back cushions. The SR Table couple see the encounter between Onyx Ice in polished finish and Olive Ash (dated from 340 AD) with a pale gold structure. A contemporary distinctive sign, which imposes itself with a presence of great attractiveness.

The new series of TEST lamps by Ugo Cacciatori represents a new chapter of HENGE in the interpretation of light. The large TEST-ONE table lamp surprises at the first touch of its body. Evoking a modern cylinder, comes to life, finding its expression through the different materials: white as the moon in polished Onyx Ice, the stone from a sculptural opalescence transforms into a shining brutalist creation; mysterious as a dying star with the Rapolano Travertine, lets spread glimpses from the cavities of the stratifications and from the undercut with its crescent characteristic.

The collaboration between HENGE and Yabu Pushelberg is persisting, after the success of the previous collections. The company and the design studio have been mutually attracted to each other by a common design philosophy, an appreciation for details, craftsmanship, beauty, and strength of the natural world. From this admiration for organic forms, already explored in the past with Mushroom and Puddle collections, Yabu Pushelberg for the first time interprets lighting for the Brand, conceiving a new lamp, Maple lamp, inspired by the seed of the leaves of the Maple tree. The strong architectural imprint is embodied in the antiqued sandcast bronze structure that supports the harmonious shapes of the borosilicate glass illuminating body. Another gem of style and technique enriching HENGE universe.

There will be seven days of meeting and discovery, a week to imagine new worlds and see them materialize in front of you, it will be the arrival point of part of a journey, and the beginning of another. The last time in Via della Spiga7.
