Henge Kitchens
Exclusive materials, a great love for stones, a timeless fascination for sculptures The new Henge kitchens are all of this. Conceived as high-end furniture, they are the main characters of the home environment. The brand’s first approach could only be exclusive and aimed at realizing unique pieces, in great balance between functionality and aesthetics. The Henge kitchen stands out as a timeless design icon, where the ancient world meets the future, where matter is always at the core of the design process. The kitchen is, after all, the heart of every house and Henge states it by creating a collection focusing on this aspect. The unfolding of family life, as well as the concept of contemporary hospitality evolving around the kitchen, were the brand’s starting point for the development of their product philosophy. The kitchen is, indeed, the centre of the house, both in terms of style and conviviality. It is the leading heart of living yesterday and today.

The important work of Henge’s designer, Massimo Castagna and the company founder, Paolo Tormena, together with the r&d team, made the collection develop, as usual, from the material research, pushing combinations and applications of stones and metals to their limit. A conscious and sophisticated selection of rare natural materials is what makes Henge kitchens majestic, products with an uncompromising quality and high stylistic value, to the point of evoking proper sculptures within the domestic scenery. The Henge kitchen can be combined with a more traditional column system, with constructive and finishing qualities that are definitely different from the classic modular cabinets. With this in mind, Henge has created three different kitchen models, comprising bars and islands, with a design that, says Castagna, ‘is never shy or ostentatious’. ‘Ozone’ is a freestanding sculpture made from faceted stone, with oak thermowood, servo-drive automatic drawers, black E-Type leather lining and black, burnished steel internal parts.

The marble is crafted so the veins flow from the worktop to the sides of the piece. ‘Oneon’ features rounded stone or metal surfaces, providing great strength and impact, while ‘Oxygen’ is presented with a thick metal frontage, accented by original Henge finishes in titanium, pale gold, silver, and brass. All three Henge designs can be customized – in terms of stones, metals and sizes – and, acknowledging the kitchen’s newfound social mobility, combined with furniture and systems from the brand’s existing ranges created for the living room. Conceived as standout, high-end furniture pieces in themselves, these kitchens are designed to be front and centre of the domestic stage.
